If you’ve ever imagined what it would be like to put together a type-specific team like the Gym Leaders in the Pokémon video games, Gym Leader Challenge is a perfect way to live out that dream while also enjoying the Pokémon TCG!

*Tournament*

• Semi-Competitive Events challenge players with prizes designed to build and promote community.
• Players must have Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached.

Format:  Gym Leader Challenge/Expanded

• 60 Card Deck Construction
• Expanded format (cards released from the Black & White Series and onward)
• 1 Pokémon Type permitted (example: Water only)
• Only 1 copy of any single card permitted in the deck outside of basic energy
• 6 Prize Cards
• Pokémon with a Rule Box (Pokémon ex, Pokémon V, etc.) are banned
• ACE SPEC cards are banned

Structure: Swiss Round System

• Swiss Rounds (3-rounds if 8 or less players)
• 20 Minutes per round
• Best of 1 game each round
• Points per round:
  • Win = 3 points
  • Tie = 1 point
  • Lose = zero points
