COMPETITIVE “3-Player Teams” TOURNAMENT

• This special format brings together 3-player-teams in 3v3 matches. Teams that win 2 of 3 games win the round.
• Testing players and teams understanding of the game & skilled abilities in a rigid tournament environment.
• These events have prizing incentivized to winning each round/match.
• GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS EXPECTETED OF ALL PLAYERS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER COMPETITIVE EVENTS.

Format: Competitive 3-Player-Teams

• Each teams must register a legal MODERN, LEGACY, and PAUPER deck.
• Each player must register 60 card (minimum) decks with a 15 card (max) sideboard.
• Players may only use officially licensed, legal, printed MTG cards. NO PROXIES will be allowed.
• Proxies and counterfeit cards will not be permitted any any events hosted in our establishment. This is a ZERO TOLERENCE RULE.

Structure: Swiss

• 3-5 Swiss Rounds then Top (2 or 4) Bracket based on attendance
• 50 Minutes per round (top 8 untimed)
• Best of 3 games for each match up, each round.
• Team Points Per Round:
  • Win = 3 points
  • Tie = 1 point
  • Lose = zero points

Rule Enforcement Level (REL):  Competitive

• Players must register their deck lists with judge staff (collected at start of event).
• Altered cards need to be verified with judge staff before the event begins.
• Players must have a registered and verified WOTC account to participate in this event.

JUDGES & OFFICIATORS: Certified L2 Head Judge will be onsite.

Time:

• Doors open 10:00am
• Round 1 begins at Noon sharp

Entry: $75.00 per team

• 48 player (16 teams) event cap (please preregister online or instore)
• Preregister instore or online to guarantee your teams seat.
• Refunds only given as store credit.

PRIZE STRUCTRE: 

• $15.00 of each TEAM entry will be used to pay the judge staff.
• $10.00 of each TEAM entry will be used to to pay the venue.
• $50.00 of each TEAM entry will added to a CASH prize pool that will be distributed as follows:

• 7 or less TEAMS:
  • Top 2 playoff-after 3 rounds
    • 1st– 60% Cash Prize Pool
    • 2nd– 40% Cash Prize Pool

• 8 or more Teams:
  • Top 4 playoff-after 4 rounds
    • • 1st– 50% Cash Prize Pool
      • 2nd– 25% Cash Prize Pool
      • 3rd– 12.5% Cash Prize Pool
      • 4th– 12.5% Cash Prize Pool
• 16 Teams:
  • Top 8 playoff-after 5 rounds
    • • 1st– 50% Cash Prize Pool
      • 2nd– 25% Cash Prize Pool
      • 3rd– 12.5% Cash Prize Pool
      • 4th– 12.5% Cash Prize Pool
      • 5th thru 8th–$25 Cash Prize per team
