FREE EVENT TO CELEBRATE OUR 30TH ANNIVERSARY!!!

MUSE COMICS & GAMES (established 1996)

COMPETITIVE STANDARD TOURNAMENT

  • Testing a players understanding of the game & skilled abilities in a rigid tournament environment.
  • These events have prizing incentivized to winning each round/match.
  • This event seeds into Regional Champions Series Event.
  • GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS EXPECTETED OF ALL PLAYERS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER COMPETITIVE EVENTS.

Format: Competitive STANDARD

  • Players must register 60 card (minimum) decks with 15 card (max) sideboards
  • Players may only use STANDARD legal cards.
  • Proxies and counterfeit cards will not be permitted any any events hosted in our establishment.

Structure: Swiss

  • 3-5 Swiss Rounds then Top 8 Bracket if 17+ participants
  • 50 Minutes per round (top 8 untimed)
  • Best of 3 games each round
  • Points per round:
    • Win = 3 points
    • Tie = 1 point
    • Lose = zero points

Rule Enforcement Level (REL):  Competitive

  • Players must register their deck lists with judge staff (collected at start of event).
  • Altered cards need to be verified with judge staff before the event begins.
  • Players must have a registered and verified WOTC account to participate in this event.

JUDGES & OFFICIATORS: Certified L2 Head Judge will be onsite.

Time:

  • Doors open 10:00am
  • Round 1 begins at 11:00ama

*We will put $5.00 for each participant into a prize pool distributed as the following:

  • 16 or less players:
    • 1st– 50% Prize Pool + RCQ Promotional Materials & Invite to Regional Championship
    • 2nd– 25% Prize Pool + RCQ Promotional Material
    • 3rd– 12.5% Prize Pool + RCQ Promotional Material
    • 4th– 12.5% Prize Pool + RCQ Promotional Material
    • 5th thru 8th– RCQ Promotional Material

 

  • 17 + Players Payout:
    • 1st– 50% Prize Pool + RCQ Promotional Materials & Invite to Regional Championship
    • 2nd– 25% Prize Pool + RCQ Promotional Material
    • 3rd– 12.5% Prize Pool + RCQ Promotional Material
