Pokémon GO League Challenge tournaments are a great way to understand the fundamentals of battling in Pokémon GO, as well as the ideal place to test your skills in battle against other Pokémon GO players!

In order to participate, players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account, be in good standing in the Play! Pokémon program, and comply with any local regulations for in-store events.

*SEMI-COMPETITIVE-Tournament*

  • Players must bring their own devices to compete; phones will not be provided by the Tournament Organizer for use.
  • Players must have Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program in order to earn points and prizes.
  • Trainers must be at least Level 10 to unlock Friends List and Battle Request features

Format:  Great League

  • Pokemon must be 1,500 Champion Points (CP) or lower to battle.
  • A player’s team must consist of up to 6 Pokemon. This team, including all moves and CP, must remain unchanged for the duration of the tournament.
  • Players then choose any 3 of these Pokémon to bring to battle. The player may change this chosen combination at the beginning of each new game. Players must indicate which Pokémon are in their team by assigning each one a unique label. None of the player’s other Pokémon may have the same label.
  • The following Pokémon cannot be included on a player’s team: Ditto or Shedinja

Structure: Swiss Round System

  • 3 to 5 Swiss Rounds (3-rounds if 8 or less players)
  • Best of 3 games each round
  • Points:
    • 1st Place = 15 Champion Points
    • 2nd Place = 12 Champion Points
    • 3rd Place = 10 Champion Points
    • 4th Place = 10 Champion Points
    • 5-8th Place = 8 Champion Points
    • 9-16th Place = 6 Champion Points

Time: 5:30pm to 7:30pm Please arrive 10 minutes early to register or check-in for online registrants.
