*COMPETITIVE PRERELEASE*

• Competitive Prerelease Events are designed with top contender heavy prizing.
• Challenging players in a limited format environment but with a regular REL and structure.
• These events are a nice blend of competitive prizing and play with an informal sealed deck structure.

Format:  Sealed Deck

• 30 Minute Deck Construction
• 40 Card Deck (minimum)–Land provided
• Players can only use cards from their prerelease kit to construct their decks.

Structure:

(17 or more) Participants: 5-6 Swiss Round Points System then Top 8 Booster Draft

(16 or Less) Participants: 3-4 Swiss Round Points System

• 3-5 Swiss Rounds
• 50 Minutes per round (top 8 untimed)
• Best of 3 games each round
• Points per round:
  • Win = 3 points
  • Tie = 1 point
  • Lose = zero points

Rule Enforcement Level (REL):  Regular

• Players may change cards in their main deck from their sideboard between games and matches.
• Staff will be available for judge calls but penalties and rulings will not be issued in this event.
• Players sealed pools are not allowed to leave the room until a player has dropped from the event or end of the event.
• Only players prerelease card pool may be present in the room while a player is actively enrolled in this event.
• We reserve the right to remove a player from our event at our own discretion

Time:

• Doors open at 12:30pm.
• Play begins 1:00pm.
• Please arrive early to register and/or check-in for online pre-registrants.

PRIZES POOLS:

4x packs per entry will be put into a PRIZE POOL and distributed as follows:

• (17 or more) Participants:
  • 1st Place: 50% of the prize pack pool
  • 2nd Place: 25% of the prize pack pool
  • 3rd & 4th: 12.5% of the prize pack pool each
• (16 or Less) Participants:
  • 1st Place: 60% of the prize pack pool
  • 2nd Place: 30% of the prize pack pool
  • 3rd & 4th: 5% of the prize pack pool each
• (8 or Less) Participants:
  • 1st Place: 80% of the prize pack pool
  • 2nd Place: 20% of the prize pack pool
